Welcome to the home page of the Pets Are A Blessing Web Ring! Effective February '07, this ring replaces the former Cold Noses, Warm Hearts web ring, which I'd assumed ownership of in December '04 and unfortunately have had to delete due to an increasing number of prank submissions. This new ring has a similar theme to the former ring. It has been created as a gathering place to link like-minded, family-friendly web sites of pet owners and lovers whose site reflects the blessing and enrichment our pets bring to our lives. I feel well qualified in this regard, not only as an experienced ring owner (I have two others, linked on my home page) but more importantly, a "mom" and lover of nine "furballs" who truly are a blessing to me! My husband and I have three beautiful Great Pyrenees dogs and one darling Samoyed dog; you can read more about them on my Furballs #2 page. We also have five cute little guinea pigs: Rosemary, Meg, Ozzie, Harry, and Pinky. We firmly believe no home is complete without "furballs", and this ring is intended to link together the sites of other "furball parents" who feel likewise! A few brief ground rules for belonging to the ring are outlined below. If you feel your site fits this description and you would like to increase traffic to your site by linking to other similar sites, you are more than welcome to submit your site for inclusion in the ring using the form below.
A sample of what your ring code should look like is shown below. You MUST save the picture of the man with his sweet white boxer pup by right-clicking on the picture and saving to the file manager on your site, so that the picture will show up in your ring code. Once you fill out and submit the form, the ring code will be automatically E-mailed to you. The ring code should already have your site ID and your site name already inserted in the code, but if it is not, please be sure to insert it. Please E-mail me when the code is on your page (it needs to be on the same page of your site that you indicate on the form).
To qualify to be included in the ring:
Your site must have at least one page featuring the critter(s) in your household (or place of business if you are in the pet business) and which expresses how they are a blessing to you. They can be dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, or other pets that fit this description.
You must be an animal lover who believes animals have the right to a high quality of life and to be part of a loving household whenever possible. Absolutely no "puppy mill" sites need apply.
Since I am a Christian, I absolutely require your site be "family friendly" and contain no sections that I would feel uncomfortable linking to. You don't have to be a Christian, but I will not include sites that include witchcraft, the occult, religions that I consider cults, or other subject matter that at my discretion I choose to not include in the ring.
Blog owners, please note! I realize the ring code needs to be adjusted to fit the side margin of the blog. You MUST include, at a minimum, the link to Ringsurf, the link to the ring home page, the ring logo (OK to shrink size to fit the margin), the "owned by (link to your E-mail address)" and the "join", "next", "prev" and "list" links.
You are responsible for keeping your ring information (your URL and E-mail address) up to date. If either of these change, you MUST either log into RingSurf with your ring and site ID and password, or contact me to change your info. I periodically do ring checks, and if your ring code is missing or incomplete, your site may be removed from the ring and you will need to resubmit your site.
